Thank you Jen and Paul for your very kind words. You were such a delightful couple to work with! I really appreciate your taking the time to write this review on both The Knot and Wedding Wire.
"From the moment we first met Pat, we knew we wanted to work with her on our ceremony. She was so helpful and covered everything, helping us make decisions and planning the pace of the ceremony. All of our guests thought she did an excellent job. She even through in a surprise during the ceremony that we'll cherish forever. I can't say enough good things about Pat and Koru Ceremony." Think positive thoughts When your partner points something out or offers a gesture of affection, they're making a bid for emotional connection. Turning towards these bids, even in tiny ways, helps to foster closeness in your relationship. However, the research shows that thinking negative thoughts about your partner can get in the way of recognizing and responding to their bids, which can create emotional distance over time. If you think positive thoughts about your partner, even when you're apart, you'll recognize and respond to more of their bids when you're together. This will build a solid foundation of trust and commitment in your marriage. Free relationship app We just released Gottman Card Decks, a free relationship app. Click here to download. What a fabulous location to have a natural wedding and take photos with the beautiful nature in the background. Rev. Sarah really enjoyed working with this couple. (Photos by Amandalynn Jones Photography) Read these heartfelt words that Morgan and Adam wrote to their friends and family in this Facebook post. Rev. Amy was honored to officiate this wedding for such a beautiful couple inside and out. The wedding took place at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. "We are humbled. Truly humbled. Thank you, each and every one of you, for making our day so incredibly special. The thoughfulness, time, travel and cost it took for you all to be there does not go unrecognized. We are so fortunate to have had so much help to create our special day and even more to have so many dear people to celebrate with. For us, it could not have been more perfect. We are in awe. Thank you." Dan and Vanessa's wedding at the Monona Terrace was just as magical as this photo of them dancing with bubbles. (photo by Urban Anchor Photography)
Small Things Often
When you're experiencing a rough patch in your marriage, you might be surprised to know that it doesn't take a major overhaul to improve your relationship. Even slightly changing the dynamics of your relationship can have a dramatic and positive impact over time. Try practicing our motto, "Small Things Often." A six-second kiss before you leave for work. A stress-reducing conversation about your partner's day. A sign of affection, a favor, an expression of gratitude. Daily positivity, however small, will create a path toward a more intimate, trusting, and satisfying relationship. Additional reading I can't thank Amber and Chris enough for writing such a glowing review for me. It actually brought tears to my eyes reading such warm words of praise. It was so wonderful to work with both of them and my warm affection for the two of them is abundant!
"If you are clueless with how to plan a wedding, and don't know how to go about planning the ceremony, then you are exactly where I was before getting married. Look no further for assistance and Call Pat Werk with Koru Ceremony in Deerfield. My husband and I are both introverts who wanted a simple ceremony at our home, which turned into 100 guests and we flustered! We contacted a few people who made it feel like an inconvenience when we didn't know exactly what or how we wanted to do things. From the first moment we met Pat she was so warm and friendly Even though her schedule was booked, she found a way to not only make our ceremony happen on the day we wanted, but helped with getting the wording and movements so we felt comfortable with everything. Not to mention she also came over the morning of (when we had called her the night before to request this), just so we could go over where to be and how to make everything perfect, even helping us determine where to set up the altar and the sand ceremony table! She wasn't just an officiate, she worked with us as a wedding planner asking nothing more than making sure we were happy with everything. I've never gotten married before, and I never plan to again, which is a shame because she was so pleasant to work with we can't do repeat business with her! I would recommend her to anyone, whether you know what you are looking for in your ceremony, or like me, need a lot of guidance with how to get a good flow and wording. Whats better, her prices were competitive with everyone else we spoke to, even though she offers so much more! I cannot say enough how perfect she made our big day, by the end she felt like family. You will not regret letting them help to make your wedding perfect!" Katie and Jeremy said "I do" in Hartland, WI and their reception was at the beautiful Bristlecone Pines Golf Club! It was a very warm day for a wedding, especially for September, but these two were smiles all day and you can't beat the golden September sunlight! So happy for you both. Wishing you warm wishes for a happy and long life together. Here is a review that Katie and Jeremy wrote about Rev. Pat on Wedding Wire: "Pat was amazing. I'm so glad we chose her to officiate our wedding. She was super polite, and easy and fast to communicate with. Our ceremony turned out to be exactly what we wanted. Hiring Pat was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. " Photos by the FABULOUSLY FANTASTIC Tara Draper Photography. Photo by Jenna Kutcher Photography Thank you Samantha and Sean for sharing this excellent review for us on Wedding Wire and The Knot.
"We worked with Rev. Sarah Harrison from Koru, and we could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding! She was fun, laid-back and very professional in all our meetings with her and on the big day. She gave us loads of incredibly useful tips which showed her extreme attention to detail and investment in making everything picture-perfect for us. With Koru you really get top-to-bottom service - they provide a full packet of options on what to say, what to include, and suggestions for readings, songs, vendors, etc., and everything is fully customizable to ensure the whole experience is exactly what you want. Overall, a wonderful group to work with." (Sarah's selfie with Samantha and Sean at the Old Feed Mill in Mazomanie. Thank you so much Kate and Ryan for sharing this wonderful review for me on both The Knot and Wedding Wire.
"Pat was just outstanding to work with. She helped us create a ceremony that was uniquely us. So many of our guests complimented us on how wonderful our ceremony was. She was very accommodating when our outdoor ceremony plans were changing up to the last minute with the weather. Pat was very professional and easy to work with. She has our strongest recommendation if you are looking for an officiant!" Don't be afraid of conflict
Some couples avoid conflict, avoid expressing what they need from one another, and congratulate their relationship for being generally happy. These couples are known as conflict avoiders. But this type of relationship isn't for everyone. Other couples need to hash out their disagreements, express their needs, and identify their shortcomings. Not doing so runs the risk of feeling emotionally distant from each other. Don't be afraid of conflict. It can actually deepen intimacy and bring you and your partner closer together. Think of conflict as an opportunity to learn how to love each other better over time. Additional reading Back in September I went to an amazing wedding conference called Camp Wed at Camp Wandawega in Elkhorn, WI. By far, this was the best conference I have ever been to having to do with the wedding industry. One of the perks of going to Camp Wed was the fabulous Lexia Frank Photography took a headshot of each of us. Thanks Lexia!
Such a sweet couple and such a sweet thank you note from Kate and Ryan:
"Thank you so much for going above and beyond working with us and for providing us with such an amazing ceremony! We could not have had a ceremony that more perfectly captured "us" and being able to work with you has just been wonderful! Thank you for helping us make our ceremony so special and so memorable." Fabulous Photo by Uttke Photography & Design TJ Uttke from Uttke Photography and Design couldn't have described this wedding any better (with a little humor thrown in). "The weather on Kate & Ryan's wedding day was unmatched to any rainy wedding day we've seen. The forecast called for 100% rain, all day. The winds coming off of Lake Mendota were strong enough to send a toddler to Kansas*. Despite the rain and wind, the day went on. Hair got wet, dresses got dirty. But Kate & Ryan didn't stop smiling. It was their rainy wedding day at Bishops Bay and it was unforgettable! * no children were harmed in the making of this celebration." I LOVE LOVE LOVE these photos Tara Draper Photography took of Kristin and Adam! What a wonderful couple. They were a complete delight to work with and I truly enjoyed getting to know them and having the opportunity to officiate their ceremony. Tara captured them perfectly. And as always, I LOVED working with such fabulous photographers like Tara! These photos are stunning at Olbrich Gardens, the WI State Capitol, and Cento. Here is what Tara wrote about Adam and Kristin's wedding: "A stunner of a wedding this past Saturday in Madison. Kristin and Adam had a simple and elegant sunset garden wedding at the beautiful Olbrich Botanical Gardens with hand-written intentional vows. Pat Fisch-Werk officiated and I love when the ceremonies are personal, how they met and who they are as a couple, and Kristin's BHLDN dress looked like it was made just for her. We shot all around the capital and the gardens before the ceremony and the night ended with an intimate group of friends and family at Cento downtown (with one of the best pasta dishes ever!) Congratulations to you both! Floral by Blooms by Brandi www.taradraper.com" Adam and Kristin,
I can't thank you enough for writing such an amazing and heartfelt review for me on Wedding Wire. I am deeply touched by your words of praise. Thank you, thank you!! "Pat could not have been easier to work with, nor created a better ceremony for Kristin and I. From the very beginning, Pat was tremendously responsive and attentive to our questions and needs. In addition to the direct ceremony language process (which was collaborative and customized), Pat provided guidance and recommendation for a host of other ceremony-related questions (vendors, readings, etc.). From the beginning to the ceremony itself, Pat became more than just an officiant, and instead became the friend that helped celebrate our wedding. We cannot recommend Pat highly enough." Adam and Kristin married on September 30, 3017 at Olbrich Gardens, Madison, WI |
