I love officiating weddings, but the day is made even more joyful when you know the bride or groom really well. I watched Erin grow up so I was really honored when she asked me to officiate their ceremony. This was such heartwarming, family focused, joyful, and beautiful wedding with a folk art theme at Folklore Village in Dodgeville, WI! (Erin and Michael didn't hire a professional photographer and instead asked their guests to take wedding photos for them throughout the day. So it was really fun to add the wedding photographer hat on as well.)

Thank you Beca Dilley Photography (www.beccadilley.com) for sharing these wonderful photos from Erica and Erik's beautiful wedding at the Madison Club earlier this summer. Amazing photos of an amazing couple! Erica and Erik are both in the genetics PhD program- enjoying thier lives of science, discovery and laughter together. "Science is not only a disciple of reason but, also, one of romance and passion." Stephen Hawking Another happy wedding couple! Congratulations Doug and Kristin! Sarah officiated their wedding at the Madison Children's Museum. What a fun place to get married!
These sneak peek photos of Nicole from her and John's wedding last weekend at Milford Hills Hunt Club are gorgeous! I can't wait to see more images by Choua Xiong at Natural Bliss Photography. (www.cxynaturalblissphotography.com)
Nicole wrote this very kind review for me on The Knot: We had a great experience with Pat Werk. She was very responsive to all emails and phone calls, and overall very pleasant to work with. Everything was done professionally and effectively. She allowed us to customize our ceremony while adding her own flair. We would highly recommend her! I love these photos by Kathleen Stogin Photography. I couldn't have agreed more with what Kathleen wrote because I really adored Mitchell and Kristen: September 3, 2016. It doesn’t matter where you’re from. In the state of Wisconsin, everyone bleeds Badger red. A little known fact among many Bucky enthusiasts, however, is that the University of Wisconsin-Madison Union is actually a beautiful place for a wedding. A little known fact among many wedding photographers, as well, is that it’s also a gorgeous place for photography. This UW Madison Union wedding is flooded with big windows, natural light, and strong Wisconsin spirit. I met with Kristen & Mitchell back in early 2015, and I could tell they were going to be a joy to work with right away. Having been high school sweethearts, these two have a long, strong history together. There isn’t much that 9 years of dating leaves out. It was so incredible to watch two best friends declare their love & commitment to each other — not as a new adventure, but as two who know & love each other deeply. Their love & commitment to each other is easy for all to see, and think it’s fair to say that everyone walked away touched & inspired by their vows. These two, their family, and their friends, are all selfless, friendly, and a true joy to be around. The entire day at this UW Madison Union Wedding was a lighthearted celebration. It’s weddings like these that remind me why I love my job so much. Also. I know you’re wondering, and the answer is yes; the Badgers took out LSU for the win to make the day complete. Want to see more photos? Check out Kathleen Stogin's blog: Also, here is the link to Brant Erickson's short highlight reel from this fabulous wedding. Sometimes the best weddings aren't about the amount of money you spend, but the love shared between two individuals. Yesterday I officiated a wedding at Picnic Point for Meshel and Erik. There was only myself, their photographer Annie Sweers, their two best friends as the witnesses, and Meshel and Erik. And yet it may have been one of my most memorable weddings of the season. The love was palpable and it was an honor to be a part of their special day. Annie from Studio Sweers Photography did an amazing job of capturing the spirit of the day in these photos. Wow! Brian from Brian Slawson Photography did an amazing job of capturing Sara and Taylor's wedding. Sara and Taylor were truly one of the nicest and such a beautiful couples inside and out. They were a complete delight to work with. Congratulations! Rev. Sarah takes a selfie with two of her wedding couples! Look at those happy faces!
