These photos, by Uttke Photography and Design, from Val and Cody wedding this past weekend at the Bridle Barn and Gardens in Mt. Horeb, really captures the essence of this amazing couple!! I received this very sweet note from them before the ceremony began: "Pat- We couldn't imagine this day without you! You have been so wonderful to work with, thank you very much for all of your time and help. We know our ceremony will be amazing because of you! We will recommend you to anyone. :) Again, we appreciate all you have done to make our ceremony perfect and smooth. All our love, Val & Cody" And here is a really nice review that Cody wrote on The Knot:
"We couldn't be happier with Pat at Koru Ceremony! We knew about 5 minutes into our first meeting that she was the perfect person to be our wedding officiant. She helped guide us through every step of the marriage process. She provided tools, samples, and guidance to create our own ceremony, but also reminded us of deadlines, provided information about obtaining a marriage license, and was a resource throughout our wedding planning. She was always a calm and supportive voice before and during our wedding. In fact, she broke her shoe walking up to the ceremony area, but quickly found some tape and made nothing of it. Then she lost an earring moments before the wedding began. She brushed that off and simply put the other one in her pocket to even things out. No matter what your vision of a perfect wedding ceremony may be, I have no doubt that Pat and Koru Ceremony can make it happen!"

Saturday was a hot one! It was close to 90 and there was no shade for the guests at the top of the hill, but I love officiating wedding at the Bridle Barn and Gardens in Mt. Horeb. Also, Valerie and Cody were so positive and upbeat that I was reminded of what a fabulous and fun couple they are. It was an absolute joy to work with such an adorable bride and groom that is truly beautiful inside and out! As a side note, just when you think you've experience just about everything at a wedding, right before the ceremony started the sole of my shoe came off. What do you do? Luckily TJ, from Uttke Photography and Design, had some black gaffer's tape so I quickly taped up my shoe before the ceremony started. Although the wedding party knew, I don't think any of the guests were any wiser? Thank you TJ and Shannon for saving me from being barefoot at the wedding. Alanis and Bob, along with family, friends, and their beloved dogs, became husband and wife on the rooftop of the Monona Terrace. I loved working with these two planning their very special day. Congratulations Alanis and Bob! Thanks to Now That's Entertainment for doing a great job managing the sound system during the ceremony!
Wow! Amy, Sarah and I were surprised and honored to have Koru Ceremony WIN, for the second year in a row, the Wisconsin Bride Magazine's "2019 Best Officiant Award." I can't tell you how privileged I feel to be working with these two amazing women. Ditto to Sarah's recent post, "Love these ladies so much and I am so honored to be a part of this team!" Thank you Becky and Julien for writing this wonderful and heartfelt review for me on The Knot. I really enjoyed working with this amazing couple!!
"The 5-star rating descriptor says it best - Pat is THE BEST EVER! She is clearly an expert at what she does. My (now) husband(!) and I were so impressed that she still made us feel so special and the process so personal - even though she has worked with so many couples. Pat was so flexible and attentive throughout the whole planning process. We had two in-person meetings and she coached us through choosing different parts of our ceremony (even adding items that were "off menu"). She also provided such valuable information for obtaining our marriage license and for all the logistics after the wedding as well. Neither my husband nor I are religious, and there were still so many options for us to personalize our ceremony to us as a couple. My husband is also French - and Pat had so many ideas for how we could make our English ceremony accessible to everyone in attendance. Literally everyone we spoke to at our reception told us how brilliant they thought the ceremony was and how perfect it was for us as a couple. If I had to choose one word to sum up our experience with Pat and Koru Ceremony: PERFECT. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect day and a more perfect way to celebrate our love. Thank you, Pat, for everything! If you're still looking for an officiant, look no further!" Audra and Mikey were married outside on June 22, 2019 at The Gathering Place in Milton, WI under a group of large oak trees. The couple meet 11 years ago while playing in the high school pep band. They spent so much time together that many assumed they were dating, but the first few years they were just best friends. Over time their feelings grew for one another, so no one was surprised when they started dating 7 years ago. During the ceremony I read this poem by Judy Bielicki. Friendship It is often said that it is love that makes the world go round. However, without a doubt, it is friendship, which keeps our spinning existence on an even keel. True friendship provides so many of the essentials for a happy life - it is the foundation on which to build an enduring relationship, it is the mortar which bonds us together in harmony, and it is the calm, warm protection we sometimes need when the world outside seems cold and chaotic. True friendship holds a mirror to our foibles and failings, without destroying our sense of worthiness. True friendship nurtures our hopes, supports us in our disappointments, and encourages us to grow to our best potential. Mikey and Audra came together as friends. Today, they pledge to each other not only their love, but also the strength, warmth and, most importantly, the fun of true friendship. I believe a deep friendship is the bases for a happy marriage and am confident that Audra and Mikey's life together as husband and wife will be long and happy. Amanda and Alex said "I do" to each other on the rooftop of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, June 23, 2019. It was a beautiful day... a beautiful ceremony... a beautiful couple to live happily ever after. I had the pleasure of working with Andrea, Wedding Coordinator with Cherry Blossom Events. Andrea was organized, creative, supportive, and 100% present for the couple!
Amanda and Alex, we wish you both many fun adventures in your new life together. Yesterday's wedding at the Orpheum was magical. Becky and Julien's ceremony included readings in both English and French. A selection from "Le Petit Prince" was the perfect reading for this French teacher and native Frenchman. Additionally, we also included their beautiful love story during the Charge to the Couple and a Celtic handfasting as a nod to Becky's heritage during their unique and personal vows. One of my favorite moments was during the song, "All of Me" by John Legend when Becky began singing the lyrics to the song softly to Julien. The look of love in their eyes made this such a memorable and a favorite for me this wedding season. I really enjoyed marrying this delightful and sweet couple. Congratulations Becky and Julien! A wonderful review written about Rev. Amy on both Wedding Wire and The Knot.
"Are you looking for an Officiant for your wedding? Look no further, Amy Gile from Koru Ceremony was a blast to work with. It felt like we have known her for a long time. She has a bubbly personality and we couldn’t have asked for a better officiant. Many family members complimented her and said how much they truly enjoyed having her part of our day. She made us feel comfortable and made the day go even smoother than we could have asked for. She even made the rehearsal practice fun and efficient. She really tailors the ceremony to your style, wants and needs with just a few meetings. Although I am sure you could meet as many times as you want. She is very good at communicating and reaching out making sure everyone is on the same page. Again she was a pleasure to work with!" Katie and Alex wrote this extremely kind review on both Wedding Wire and The Knot. It was a great pleasure working with this amazing couple.
"We loved creating a ceremony that was personal to us and we received so many compliments from our guests about our wedding ceremony. Pat made the planning and day of stress free. She takes into account every last detail. Pat, we cannot thank you enough for such a beautiful wedding ceremony!" Photo by Dave Stremikis Photography One of my favorite photographers to work with! Check out these stunning photos from Amanda and Will's recent wedding at the Monona Terrace. Loved working with this laid back and very sweet couple and love working with sb Photography and Design! (check out more photos here.) My second wedding already this season working with sb Photography and Design! The photos from Kristin and Trevor's spring wedding at Lake Windsor Country Club are breathtaking! (Check out more here.) I adored this fabulous couple and was honored to officiate their wedding. Nic and Kate were married on June 1, 2019, at Koshkonong Mounds Country Club surrounded by family and friends with the lake as their backdrop. It was a beautiful day, for a beautiful couple.
Nischint and Melissa joined together as husband and wife on May 18, 2019, overlooking the State Capitol from the eighth floor of the Park Hotel in Madison, WI. It was a very special day for this couple, which set the tone of "happily ever after" for them both!
What a complete delight to marry Alex and Katie today on this lovely summer day at Pres House on the UW-Madison Library Mall Campus. So much fun to share with their guests Alex and Katie's heartwarming love story. What a beautiful couple inside and out. Congratulations! |
