Allison and Doron’s Italian Villa Wedding

Filed in Wedding — August 8, 2016

Kelsey and Butch from The McCartney Photography shared these words on their blog.  I couldn’t have described this wedding any better:

Allison & Doron chose to have a brunch wedding celebration in Milwaukee. Stepping into Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum feels like you’ve suddenly been transported to the loveliest place in a tiny Italian village, with architecture and charm in every direction.

The weather gave Allison & Doron a taste of everything from fog and rain to abundant sunshine. Doron’s family traveled for the weekend from Israel and it truly felt like their wedding day was a joining of two families. After a beautiful ceremony overlooking greenery and Lake Michigan, their guests enjoyed cocktails on the sunshine-filled terrace.

What does Koru mean?

KORU (kor-roo) is the Maori word for “loop.” For the indigenous people of New Zealand, the koru spiral represents a fern frond beginning to unfurl. The koru symbol embodies new beginnings, a new phase of life, renewal, hope for the future, positive change, personal growth, working in harmony, bringing people together, and being mindful of the good things in life.

At Koru Ceremony, we strive to personify these ideals and celebrate a new beginning through ceremony and ritual.
