Thank you David and Sarah for writing this very nice review for me on both The Knot and Wedding Wire:
Pat was a phenomenal officiant for our wedding! She was very helpful in the planning process that made our wedding truly one-of-a-kind. She was very organized and helped make sure that the ceremony went off without any problems.
Pat met with us several times to make sure that our ceremony reflected our values. She went above and beyond to make our wedding day amazing. She wrote individualized sections for the ceremony that made our day feel truly special.
(Married on September 22, 2019 at The Fields Reserve, Stoughton, WI)
Today was a beautiful day to get married at the Historic First Lutheran Church in Middleton, WI. I really enjoyed working with Julie and JR, a sweet and fun loving couple. Wishing them all the best in the years to come.
Had a wonderful day officiating the wedding of Amanda and Tyler. So many giggles, and a few sweet tears, made the perfect ceremony.
One of the most heartfelt ceremonies I have had the honor of officiating- I even choked up during the ceremony and the photographer said he did too. Congratulations David and Sarah! Wishing you a wonderful future together. Today was a great start. @ The Fields Reserve
Thank you Jo Wittmann from Witt & Co. Events, LLC, for all your help. It was a delight to work with you!
Thank you Aislinn and Austin for writing this amazing review for Sarah on both Wedding Wire and The Knot:
"Rev. Sarah with Koru was absolutely wonderful to work with! We were comfortable with Sarah from the first conversation we had with her throughout the entire planning process. Koru makes planning your entire ceremony easy from start to finish. Sarah worked great with us to make sure that our wedding ceremony was personal and really spoke to our relationship. During our wedding ceremony we even had a reading where we incorporated 10 of our closest friends and it did not even phase Sarah to help us plan and coordinate it during the rehearsal so the transition was effortless! Sarah was warm and personable was also professional the entire time. Thank you Koru and Sarah for giving us the perfect wedding ceremony!"
Married on 6-15-19 at the Monona Terrace.
Here’s s to Craig and Jonna, May your life together be long and happy filled with love and laughter! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your special day, it was truly an honor for me to facilitate your rehearsal and officiate your wedding ceremony. The weather was beautiful, the venue was perfect, Glacier Canyon Conference Center and Hotel in Wisconsin Dells, and to work with the venue’s Events Coordinator, Jennifer, was a pleasure! So, here’s to you both... Congratulations
Thank you Katie and Brennan for writing this super nice and very flattering review for me on both The Knot and Wedding Wire.
I found Pat Werk through reviews like these, and let me tell ya, she's amazing! My fiancé and I were so incredibly nervous to find the right officiant for us (my family is Catholic, his is more agnostic) to make the ceremony meaningful for everyone. And she was the best decision we could've made. We had so many compliments on how personalized it felt, and she made it so easy for us. HIGHLY recommend!!
And then I received this very sweet thank you from Katie's mom this morning:
I just wanted to say a gigantic THANK YOU for making Katie & Brennan's wedding ceremony so special. The readings, the advice on marriage, oh my gosh, all of it!! Sooooo many people commented on what a beautiful job you did. We really appreciate you making the wedding day, something we'll never forget.

Although weddings are the bulk of what we officiate, I love rituals of all kinds, including baptisms/christenings. What an honor it was to baptize Jason and Christen's son, Gavin at the Historic First Lutheran Church in Middleton, WI. I have had the pleasure of marrying Jason and Christen, baptize their 2 year old son, Jordan, and now their newest son, Gavin. I love working with this beautiful and amazing family and being a part of those special times in their lives.
Thank you Brittnay Nichole Photography for sharing these photos with Koru.
What an adorable couple! Congratulations Katie and Brennan! What joy to a part of your special day at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove, WI.
Here is a sweet thank you note they handed me at the end of the ceremony:
Thank you so much for being so amazing and for putting our minds at ease when it came to the ceremony! You made it so easy to customize it and always kept open communication with us. I was so worried about having a meaningful ceremony, but you made it so easy and stress free!! We really appreciate it.

Thank you Trevor for writing this review for me on Wedding Wire and The Knot.
"Working with Pat Werk was a great experience. She helped us figure out how to have exactly the ceremony we wanted, with a plethora of options for us to choose from when we did not know what direction we wanted to go. The ceremony included religious parts for me, and secular parts for my wife."

Thank you Steve Daubs Studios for sharing these AMAZING photos from Jasmine and Trevor's wedding. Love these photos! You nailed it!!
One of the great joys of photographing weddings happens when a couple truly embraces what makes them unique and builds their day around that. Trevor and Jasmine did just that, with a stunning intimate ceremony on Saturday morning at the UW-Madison Arboretum. The weather was beautiful, and the ceremony, performed by Pat from Koru Ceremony: Celebrating New Beginnings, was sweet, to the point, and highlighted by the origami flowers that Jasmine and her mother spent the past year constructing!!
It got better after their portrait session when the entire wedding party headed over to Vitense Golfland for some mini golf and snacks. They got a chance to relax together, have fun, and laugh. By the time the reception at Memorial Union was underway, family and friends were ready to dance the night away. And dance they did! Bucky stopped by, DJ Galaxy busted some moves on the dance floor as well as bringing the music and energy all night, and even Elvis showed up, as per family tradition!
Special thanks to all the wonderful vendors, starting with Heather Farr Events & Consulting. Heather went above and beyond to make the day beautiful and smooth! The Looking Glass Bakery provided the cake, DJ Galaxy of Madtown Moblie DJs provided music, Pat Werk Of Koru Ceremony: Celebrating New Beginnings Koru Ceremonies was the officiant, Vera's House of Bridalsprovided the dresses. A special thanks to Jasmine and her mother for their tireless work creating all the stunning origami flowers that decorated the tables.
Congratulations Jazz and Trevor, and we wish you all the best!!
It is unusual for me to have a wedding in the morning, but today was the perfect day to get married at the UW Arboretum. It was a delight to marry Jasmine and Trevor. What a sweet couple!
Thank you Heather at Heather Farr Events and Katie at the UW Arboretum for all your help coordinating this wedding. We made a great team together!
What a joy it was to marry Julie and Justin today at Lake Windsor Country Club. It was the perfect September day to get married. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
Nathan and Katie said their "I do's" to each other and became husband and wife at the same place where they were engaged, EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, WI. Their passion for airplanes and flying brought them together, and continues to be a shared love, in addition to the love that has grown between them! Congratulations to them both, may their future together sore high! Rev. Sarah
It is rare for us to take photos at the rehearsal but we are working on an upcoming project and needed some photos of us helping orchestrate the flow of the rehearsal. Here is what I have from two rehearsals today. I am looking forward to marrying Jasmine and Trevor in the morning at the UW Arboretum and Julie and Justine in the evening at Lake Windsor Country Club tomorrow.
This couple is the real deal! Jarred and Katie lasted the test of time and distance to their dream come true on their wedding day. I am so honored to be a part of their magical day and officiate their ceremony. Thank you, Jarred and Katie, may all of your years together be happy ever after! The wedding ceremony was held at Free Congregation of Sauk City. Thank you to Ellen, Facility Coordinator, for a great day! Rev. Sarah
A review written by Samantha on Wedding Wire and The Knot:
Pat Werk made my wedding dreams come true. I had never been to a nonreligious wedding before and was doubtful that I would be able to have a ceremony that fit our relationship. Pat came to us with so many ideas to personalize every line of our ceremony. We wanted to include our daughter by presenting her a necklace and Pat fit it in perfectly. I never felt unheard or like a burden when communicating with Pat before and during our wedding. I am so thankful to her and she will always hold a special place in our wedding memories.
In an email Samantha wrote:
We both want to thank you very much for marrying us and officiating such a beautiful ceremony. I received many compliments, even from a few of my very religious family members. With it being so unconventional, I wasn't expecting such wonderful reactions. Thank you again!

I had the opportunity to officiate a ceremony close to home at the Cambridge Winery. What an honor and a joy to work with Charlotte and Zach! I loved this couple and when the ceremony ended they jumped into their muscle car and took off with squeal and a spinning of tires. It made their guests laugh. Adorable!
Here is a review Charlotte wrote for me right away on Wedding Wire:
It was an amazing experience working with Pat for my wedding. She is very organized and provides all the information you need to help make those important decisions for the big day. She's very flexible and made everything stress free.
